On this tour you'll face a wide variety of surfaces and enjoy very diverse landscapes including alpine meadows over 2000 meters, narrow ancient trails, forests, as well as rocky and demanding sections. This is the main feature of our Pyrenees: a huge variety of top quality trails in a relatively small area.

Day 1: Tena Valley

9:00 am Arrival in Biescas and briefing of the tour.

Today we will ride the best trails of the Tena Valley, linking high mountain descents with short pedalling sections. These trails can acumulate an average descent of even 4.000m in a good day, including a wide variety of terrains such as forests, meadows, roots and rocks. 

Dinner and accommodation in Biescas (not included).

Day 2: Biescas and Aínsa

We ride from Biescas to Aínsa discovering the best trails of this wonderful area featuring incredible descents. After a refreshment we'll continue towards Aínsa along the Ara River valley. After the last descent in Aínsa we will make a transfer by van to Benasque Valley.

Dinner and accommodation in Castejón de Sos (not included).

Day 3: Benasque Valley

In the next two days we will ride the most spectacular descents of the Pyrenees, ancient trails that we have helped to clear and recover for cycling. The first day we will face several descents in a dreamed landscape. More than 30 km of trails and 3500 m of descent in a single day.

Dinner and accommodation in Castejón de Sos (not included).

Day 4: Benasque Valley

There is no better ending than probably the longest, most varied and funny descent of the entire Pyrenees. Before we will enjoy 3 other trails culminating in this way four days of only the most authentic MTB Enduro.

In the afternoon: end of the activity. Transfer to Biescas.

1. What’s the size of the group?

MTB PYRENEES works only with small groups. Our main goal is to provide the best quality. The maximum amount of riders per guide is 6. * Departure will be confirmed with a minimum group of 5 people.

2. What’s the age of the people joining MTB PYRENEES tours?

Tours are usually done by 30-60 years-old people. Depending on the tour, anyone having a good shape and bike handling skills can join. People under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

3. What kind of tour is ENDURO PYRENEES (4 DAYS)?

ENDURO PYRENEES 4 DAYS is an Enduro guided tour that includes several daily lifts with our support vehicles to maximize the number of descents per day. There are also several small climbs every day but a great physical form (average of +500 m per day) is not needed. However, to face these climbs it is recommended to have good handling skills so you can enjoy the tour.

4. What’s the distance to cover each day?

Average distance is about 40 kilometers and average elevation is +500m / -3.000m.

5. Do we have to carry our luggage during the tour?

No. You’ll just carry a day pack whilst riding. It must include some spare parts as well as water & food. 

6. What if I come across a section I can’t ride?

Don’t worry, just walk. You’ll probably not be the only one. The main goal is to enjoy so, relax!

7. Who will be guiding us?

Your local guides are experienced professionals and have a great knowledge of the area. Your safety is the most important for them. They will always be happy to answer your questions.

8. What sort of accommodation is included?

Accommodation is not included. You can hire the accommodation through our travel agency FullTimeGuides. Contact us.

9. Are meals included in the price?

No meals are included in the tour price. However, we'll set up a refreshment station so you’ll find some snacks and drinks on the way to the finish line. IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL NEED OR INTOLERANCE, let us know and we’ll adapt to your needs. 

10. What type of bike is recommended for the trip?

A full suspension mountain bike (140 – 170 mm) is needed. You’ll face long climbs and demanding descents where trails are usually dry and loose. Full suspension bikes will make you feel comfortable.

We encourage you to travel with your own bike. It is easy, cheaper and comfort is guaranteed. Don’t worry! We’ll help you to set up your bike before the start.  

Downhill bikes are not allowed! The tour takes place on public roads shared with hikers and other users. You must respect everybody and avoid aggressive driving. Remember, the main goal is to enjoy the trails and landscape. Please, respect environment. 

11. What will the weather be like in Spain?

This tour takes place in an alpine terrain where temperatures might vary greatly. Even in the summer season temperatures over 2.000m might be extremely cold. Remember to bring warm and waterproof clothes so you can adapt to those temperatures at any time.

We have scheduled all tours at the best times to enjoy riding in Spain. Daytime riding temperatures will be around 25C/72F in the valleys.  At night temperature drops and storms are frequent in the afternoon. Remember to bring warm clothes.

12. Where do I park my car during the tour?

Cars will be parked in a “safe place” located at the town where the tour starts. MTB PYRENEES will not be responsible of the posible damages caused by third parties.

Aragonese Pyrenees are a very safe place. However, you must watch your valuables and keep your equipment stored in a safe place. Bring a copy of your personal documents and keep them separate from the original ones.

You’ll not have access to the car during the tour. Be sure you don’t forget any equipment. 

13. What clothes / gear should I bring?

Temperatures vary greatly in Spain. Be sure you take some layers of breathable clothing to ensure that you can always adapt to the rising/dropping temperatures. You must also bring a waterproof & windstopper jacket.

Remember: Tours take place in mountain areas where climate change fast.

MTB PYRENEES will carry some maintenance kit & tools that will be avaliable in case of damages. However, due to the differences between brands they might be not suitable for your bike. It is recommended to bring your own replacements.

ABOUT DESTINATION

Entry requirements & Visas

All travelers need a valid passport or ID. Some travelers (Out of EU) might need an entry visa.

Currency

The official currency in Spain is Euro. During the trip, you’ll find ATMs located in some of the towns. You’ll be able to pay with a Credit card in most establishments (be aware of the fees charged by the different banks). Since we will travel through a mountain territory, we recommend bringing a minimum amount of cash.

Travel insurance

In order to travel with MTB PYRENEES it is mandatory to have a health insurance with care coverage for any type of illness that may appear during the trip. For people coming from European countries European Health Card is enough.

In addition, it is recommended to obtain federative / sports insurance for the practice of cycling covering the costs of an accident while practicing this sport.

REMEMBER THAT SOME OF THE TOURS ARE DONE IN A WILD ENVIRONMENT. In many places, helicopter rescue is needed. RIDE CAREFULLY AND REMEMBER, THIS TOUR IS NOT A COMPETITION.

If you have no insurance, contact us and we will study the different ways of obtaining health insurance during the tour.

Vaccines

Visit your medical center and ask what do you need when travelling to Spain. IF YOU ARE INTOLERANT TO ANY MEDICINE, tell us and we will tell the doctor in case you need health care.

In case of emergency

In Spain, emergency number is 112. It is mandatory to know this number. In case of accident, our guides will contact authorities.

Remember that the dialing code in Spain is (+34).

Safety

Spain is a very safe place. However, do not forget to take care of your luggage and sports equipment, watch your valuables and keep your equipment stored in a safe place. Bring a copy of your personal documents and keep them separate from the original ones.

Wifi / Internet

Wifi will be available in some of the accommodations. However, consider that we are moving through very isolated areas so it is possible that sometimes we do not even have mobile coverage.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

You can make the reservation for any of our bike tours through this website (200€). Our services usually include cycling related services but not any other service such as accommodation.

If you wish to buy the package including transfers, accommodation and meals we'll contact our partner travel agency in order to make the reservation.

Cancellation policy is the following: 

- Cancellations made at least one month in advance will have a cost of 30€. 

- Cancellations made between 10 and 30 days before the start of the trip will have a cost of 60€. 

- If cancellation is made in the last 10 days before the start of the trip there will be no refund.
